SUMMARY:The River Presents: Elvis Costello in Concord!
DESCRIPTION:The River Proudly Presents Elvis Costello\, solo at the Capitol Center for the Arts on Saturday\, June 28th!\nTickets are on-sale now (this show will sell out). Purchase HERE!\nAbout the show: Elvis Costello has followed his musical curiosity in a career spanning more than 28 years. He is perhaps best known for his performances with The Attractions\, The Imposters and for concert appearances with pianist Steve Nieve. His recordings include “This Year’s Model\,”  “Imperial Bedroom\,”  “King of America\,”   “Blood and Chocolate\,”  “Spike\,”  “All This Useless Beauty\,”  “When I Was Cruel\,” “North\,” and “The Delivery Man.” However\, he has also entered into acclaimed collaborations with Burt Bacharach\, The Brodsky Quartet\, Paul McCartney\, Swedish mezzo-soprano Anne Sofie von Otter\, guitarist Bill Frisell\, composer Roy Nathanson\, The Charles Mingus Orchestra\, and record producer and songwriter T Bone Burnett. \nFor the last several years\, Costello has been playing about a month of U.S. solo dates each year\, region by region. They are some of the most adventurous and lauded performances of his career — the last run in November 2013 was called “remarkable” (Esquire) and “exhilarating” (American Songwriter) – and they reflect the musician’s astonishing breadth of material.
