SUMMARY:Prescott Park Arts Festival Presents Allen Stone
DESCRIPTION:See Allen Stone with Dakota Jones on Wednesday\, July 5. Last year’s favorite\, Allen Stone\, returns to play on the Arts Festival stage after last year’s rain out to The Music Hall. Opening the show is New York-based band\, Dakota Jones\, who have molded their sound into something at once commanding and vulnerable\, spontaneous and deliberate\, familiar and refreshing. The soulful pairing will make for a magical and memorable night along the Piscataqua \nSee the duo live at the Prescott Park Arts Festival! \nMore info here!

SUMMARY:Dawes at the Lowell Summer Music Series
DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS HERE\nAN EVENING WITH DAWES AT THE LOWELL SUMMER MUSIC SERIES\nInfluenced by the gentle acoustic style and rich vocal harmonies of the Laurel Canyon sound (Crosby\, Stills & Nash\, Neil Young\, Joni Mitchell) as well as the shambling\, romanticized Americana of The Band\, Dawes has built a loyal following with their vintage-influenced aesthetic. The group\, formed in Los Angeles and centered around lead singer/songwriter Taylor Goldsmith\, initially broke through in 2011 with sophomore album Nothing Is Wrong\, which drew critical praise. They’ve continued to garner chart accolades\, including topping the Billboard Americana/Folk Albums chart with 2015’s All Your Favorite Bands and 2016’s We’re All Gonna Die. Dawes also scored a number of Top Ten Adult Alternative Songs hits\, including “Things Happen” (2015)\, “When the Tequila Runs Out” (2016)\, and “Who Do You Think You’re Talking To?” (2020). Along with their chart success\, Dawes have retained their experimental energy\, embracing an ’80s adult contemporary vibe on 2020’s Goodluck with Whatever and dipping into jazzy\, Steely Dan-style rock on 2022’s Misadventures of Doomscroller.

SUMMARY:Prescott Park Arts Festival Presents Alisa Amador and Oshima Brothers
DESCRIPTION:Alisa Amador is a connector. Her EP\, Narratives\, is a six-song snapshot in time. It’s a deep look at a person stumbling through life in two languages — English and Spanish — and in many states of mind about it all. Alisa’s crystal-clear vocals are so effortless throughout Narratives that it’s almost easy to forget how technically talented she is\, until she moves from almost-spoken-word territory to a powerful chorus without hesitation or illustrates a repetitive refrain that’s so affecting it feels like you might want to live inside it for a little while. Alisa will be joined by the Oshima Brothers\, a Maine based Indie duo that will open the show. \nCome see the artists perform live on July 19th at the Prescott Park Arts Festival! \nMore info here!

SUMMARY:Prescott Park Arts Festival Presents Bèla Fleck
DESCRIPTION:Over the last four decades\, Béla Fleck has made a point of boldly going where no banjo player has gone before\, a musical journey that has earned him 16 Grammys in nine different fields\, including Country\, Pop\, Jazz\, Instrumental\, Classical and World Music. But his roots are in bluegrass\, and that’s where he returns with his first bluegrass tour in 24 years\, My Bluegrass Heart. The Grammy award-winning album\, My Bluegrass Heart is the third chapter of a trilogy which began with the 1988 album\, Drive\, and continued in 1991 with The Bluegrass Sessions. Fleck’s band will spotlight a multi-generational gamut of the best of bluegrass players\, all sporting a myriad of Grammy Awards and nominations\, as well as gigantic piles of IBMA awards for their instruments: fiddler Michael Cleveland\, mandolin virtuoso Sierra Hull\, celebrated multi-instrumentalist Justin Moses\, bassist/multi-instrumentalist Mark Schatz\, and the amazing Bryan Sutton on guitar. \nCome see Béla play live on July 31st at the Prescott Park Arts Festival \nMore info here!

SUMMARY:Fantastic Negrito Film and Acoustic Set w/ Opener Brad Byrd
DESCRIPTION:Fantastic Negrito Presents White Jesus Black Problems: Film Screening\, Q&A & Acoustic Performance with opener Brad ByrdPart love story\, part historical excavation\, Fantastic Negrito’s extraordinary new album\, White Jesus Black Problems\, is an exhilarating ode to the power of family and the enduring resilience of our shared humanity. Inspired by the illegal\, interracial romance of his seventh generation grandparents—a white indentured servant and an enslaved Black man—in 1750s Virginia\, the collection is bold and thought provoking\, grappling with racism\, capitalism\, and the very meaning of freedom itself\, all without ever losing sight of the desire and determination at the heart of the tale.

SUMMARY:Prescott Park Arts Festival presents The Heavy Heavy
DESCRIPTION:The Heavy Heavy create the kind of unfettered rock-and-roll that warps time and place\, immediately pulling the audience into a euphoric fugue state with its own sun-soaked atmosphere. Led by lifelong musicians Will Turner and Georgie Fuller\, the Brighton\, UK-based band began with a shared ambition of “making records that sound like our favorite records ever\,” and soon arrived at a reverb-drenched collision of psychedelia and blues\, acid rock and sunshine pop. As revealed on their gloriously hazy debut EP Life and Life Only\, The Heavy Heavy breathe an incandescent new energy into sounds from decades ago\, transcending eras with a hypnotic ease. \nFind out more info here!
